“It was a positive!”

These beautiful ladies unveiled the journey of their first pregnancy encounter. From learning to adapt to the overjoy news by finding the right gynaecologist, preparing to enter into motherhood, and then finding themselves having to tackle an unexpected news, something they are not familiar with – a miscarriage.

October 15 is observed annually as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. In these two weeks, we are releasing a full Breathe series on the topic of Miscarriages in support of the cause and the awareness.

Miscarriage is a term used for a pregnancy loss within the first 20 weeks since conception. It is also known as spontaneous abortion, the natural death of an embryo or fetus before it is able to survive independently.

This loss of a baby through miscarriage can be upsetting and uncertain for new parents. Through Breathe, we want to talk about what’s unsaid, we want to help shed some light in this common yet sometimes taboo topic.
